Georgian archer Kristine Esebua showed the best result in the qualifying round of European Grand Prix but she could not manage to go through 1/8 final of playoff.
Esebua started competition from 1/16 final and beat Polish Chvienchek 6:0 but lost against Russian Stepanova.
Unfortunately, other Georgians could not gain more than one victory. Teona Kutaladze lost against British Down 4:6. After beating British Martin (6:2), Asmat Diasamidze could do nothing against mentioned Stepanova. Khatuna Narimanidze lost against Turkish Loklouglu (0:6). Italian Santori won over Natia Tsintsadze – 6:2. After beating Estonian Parnat (6:5), Lana Verulidze lost against Danish Laursen – 0:6.
Laursen and Stepanova will fight for bronze medals. British Williamson and Italian Valeeva are in final.
Today, the team competition will be held at Antalya tournament. Georgian team is one of the favorites with Esebua, Narimanidze and Verulidze. Considering the qualifying round, Georgians are No.1 seed and will start participation from ¼ final where they will compete against winner between Belarus and Poland.
