Beka Gviniashvili, member of the Georgian junior judo team, won three fights and made through to semifinal of World Championship which is under way in Ljubljana.

Gviniashvili defeated Arpad Szakacs of Slovakia by ippon, Ramazan Malsuigenov of Russia and Mihail Marchitan of South Africa.

In semifinal the Georgian judoka will face Patryk Ciechomski of Poland. Samat Yessen of Kazakhstan and Henrique Silva of Brazil will wrestle in the second semifinal.

Lasha Taveluri also wrestled in this weight category but in the first round he lost to Tadej Mulec of Slovenia.

Today Beka Dongvani wrestled in 81 kg. He won over Kodo Nakano of Philippines and Ivaylo Ivanov of Bulgaria. In 1/8 final Beka lost to Robin Gutsche of Germany.

The final block will start at 19:00 Tbilisi time.
