Goran Gruica Plays for "Zestaponi"

On February 25, at 17:30, F/C “Zestaponi” received permission from the football federation and a 24-year-old Croatian legionary Goran Gruica can get in the list of the club. On Sunday, Gruica will be able to play in the match between “Zestaponi” and “Olimpi” Rustavi.

Georgian Football Federation demanded 15 000 GEL for letting the legionary play in “Zestaponi”. The club did not refuse to pay money but demanded to deduct it from 20 000 GEL.

It is known that “Zestaponi’ lent the federation 4 000 EUR in December 2008. The federation did not give money back to be club. Besides that, before the start of the current championship, “Zestaponi” paid 40 000 GEL for participation in the season 2010-2011. Later, when football federation fulfilled functions of Professional League, this amount of money was half diminished. The club wanted to deduct this amount of money and sent a letter to GFF on February 22.

“Please, register Goran Gruica. As for the registration money, it will be paid in 2010-2011”, - the club wrote to the federation.

On February 23, GFF held a special briefing and general secretary Rezo Arveladze convinced everyone that they did not owe “Zestaponi” and Professional League had taken money.

On February 24, the club applied to the federation again – what is your answer to our letter which was sent on February 22? As we have already mentioned, on the second day, Goran Gruica was in the list of “Zestaponi”.

“Zestaponi” did not pay money for Gruica’s registration. An opinion appears that the management of the federation is incompetent or the issue of Gruica was procrastinated not to let him play on February 23.

It is known that transfers will be over in Georgia on February 28. It is doubtless that if Gruica does not play in the match against “Olimpi”, it would have been resonant.
