February 26 is the day when the clubs of Euroleague have the last day to add new basketball players for the current season. The Spanish internet portal “El Periodico de Aragon” contacted Giorgi Shermadini, Georgian center of “Zaragoza”, after the game against “Valencia”. There is one question – if Shermadini is going to transfer to “Olympiacos”.
“Have I held the last game in “Zaragoza”? No, I have not. I am going to stay in “Zaragoza” till the end of the season”, - stated the Georgian center.
The Spanish club stated the same. The Aragon club has not received any offer from “Olympiacos”. The Piraeus club wanted to change Mirza Begic by Shermadini and a lot has been written about it. However, the Georgian center seems to stay in “Zaragoza”.
In the previous round “Zaragoza” defeated favorite “Valencia”. Shermadini earned 18 points and 4 rebounds. The Georgian center had 19 coefficients and it was not surprising. “Zaragoza” is in the 9th place.
“After losing Eurocup we are focused on the championship and did our best against “Valencia”. The fans supported us a lot and of course, it helped us. I want to thank all of them”.
