Giorgi Gogshelidze wrestled against Nicolai Ceban of Moldova in ¼ final of freestyle wrestling championship in London. The Georgian won the first period 1:0. The second period ended up draw. The ball was taken of the Moldovan but Gogshelidze defended himself and gained point. It is worth mentioning that Gogshelidze started participation from the second circle. In 1/8 final Saleh Emara of Egypt did not show up and Gogshelidze gained victory by forfeit 5:0. In semifinal Giorgi wrestled against Jacob Stephen Varner of America. The Georgian won the first period 2:0. The second period finished draw. Ball was taken for Varner. The American won the second period and the third one turned out decisive. Unfortunately, Varner won the third period. Gogshelidze will wrestle for bronze medal in repechage.
