"Kartvela 2010", the second international tournament of beach volleyball, named after Davit Kartvelishvili was held at Turtle Lake in Tbilisi.
The tournament was held by Georgian Volleyball Federation and was dedicated to the memory of Davit Kartvelishvili, first Georgian libero and former member of Georgian men's youth volleyball team.
Georgian Volleyball Federation, Tbilisi Volleyball Federation and Tbilisi Municipal Department of Sport were organizers of the tournament. Supporters were: "Beelina", "Borjomi", "Coca-cola", "Address Group", "Amakord Group" and "Red Bull".
12 doubles from different cities of Georgia and Armenia participated in the tournament.
Prize winners were awarded with prize money, medals and diplomas. First place winner took a special cup "Kartvela 2010". Duet of Davit Liparteliani and Temur Chabukiani became champion. Tengiz Jankhoteli and Armen Zaalyan took the second place. Armenians Osik Asmaryan and Grisha Gasparyan took the 3rd place.
As an unsuccessful team, Tamar Kartvelishvili awarded Giorgi Ivanishvili and Artur Avetisov with prize money. Volleyball Federation gifted Temur Kartvelishvili, father of Davit Kartvelishvilia, with a ball signed by the tournament participants and organizers.
