Georgians Won Bronze Medal at European Championship

Georgian judo team won bronze medal at European Team Championship. The team of Austrian Peter Seisenbacher beat Estonia 5:0 in repechage final.

Before the decisive wrestling, Georgians held two matches. As only 12 teams participated in team championship, 4 of them started participation from the second circle – ¼ final. Georgian team was one of them. Germans won over Moldovans and wrestled against Georgians in ¼ final.

Georgians beat Germans 3:2. Varlam Liparteliani brought the 3rd decisive point to the team.

In semifinal, Ukrainians beat Georgians 3:2. French team won over Poland in the second semifinal.

Ukrainians won the title of champion. They beat France in final. Germans shared the third place with Georgians. They beat Polish team.
