Georgian National Judo Team started competing unsuccessfully at Tokyo Grand Slam. Today, prize winners will be found out in two lightest weight categories. Betkil Shukvani (60 kg) and Shalva Kardava (66 kg) lost in the first circle.
Shukvan could not win over American Nicolas Kosor. Georgian judoka gained 2 yokos but was beaten with vazar.  As for Kardava, he lost with Japanese Yunpeu Morishita in one minute and 26 seconds. In 60 weight categories Japanese sportsmen will wrestle. Hosts represent 4 sportsmen and four of them are in semi final.
