Today Georgian National U-21 Team is to hold qualifying match of Euroepean Championship 2011 against Turkish National Tem at stadium named after Kemal Ataturk in the city of Turkey, Sakaria. Georgian team plays in the second group and this match is the last in this group. Match is to start at 19:00 Tbilisi time. Referee of this match will be Slovak Slavko Vincic. Otar Gabelia’s team left for Istanbul on September 2 at dawn, after arriving they went to Sakaria by bus. 18 players of the team arrived in Turkey with Gabelia and Georgian legionaries Giorgi Ganugrava and Temur Sharashenidze from“Dior” joined them in Turkey. Georgians had training in base of “Sakaryaspor” ( the second league club) and before the match trained in “Ataturk”.The mains staff of U-21 was the following:

Midfielders: Giorgi Ivanishvili (“Schaffhausen” Switzerland), Tornike Okriashvili (“Shakhtar” Ukraine), Luka Gugechia (“Baia”), Murtaz Daushvili (“Zestaponi”), Giorgi Ganugrava, Temur Sharashenidze (Both of the “Dior”), Irakli Klimiashvili (Wit- Georgia), Teimuraz Shonia (“Spartak”);
Forwards: Revaz Barabadze (without club), Giorgi Chedia (“Olimp”), Rati Tsinamzghvrishvili (“Zestaponi”).

Last year on September 9, Georgian U-21 beat Turkish team 4:0 in Zestaponi. Giorgi Ivanishvili, Giorgi Khidasheli, Lasha Totadze and Giorgi Gugava scored the goals in this match. Khidasheli will not play today’s match due to disqualification, as for Gugava was not called up for a long time. Gabelia compared last and current main staff of Turkey and there are not important changes in it. Head coach of Georgian Team discussed Switzerland- Turkey (0:2) match together.
According to Tatia Burduli Assistant of Georgian Football Federation’s President, there is not much interest to Georgia-Turkey match in Sakaria and she even did not see any posters of this match. Besides this, TV and press also do not pay strong attention to this match. How many Georgians will support to U-21 during the match is unknown.

According to “World Sport” none of Georgian TV channel do not plan to broadcast this match.

10 winners and 4 best second place winners of qualifying round will play against each other in the play off. After play off where will be found out 7winners, those teams will go through the final. Denmark which is host of tournament will join those teams in final. Final matches will be held in the cities of Denmark, Viborg, Olborg, Aarhus and Herning.
