Georgian judo team lost the chance to keep the title of world team champion on the first day of the championship. The team of Soso Liparteliani wrestled against South Korea in the 1/4 final and lost 2:3. Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) and Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) brought points to the team. Davit Asumbani (66 kg), Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg) and Lasha Gujejiani (+90 kg) were beat.
Georgian team will wrestle in repechage where Russian team will be its opponent. If they overcome this obstacle, one opponent will be left to beat for bronze medal.
