Current world team champion Georgia lost twice in a row at World Team Championship which is held in Antalya. Georgian team lost the chance to keep not only title but the chance to win bronze medal.
The team of Soso Liparteliani was beat 2:3 by South Korea. Then Georgian judokas wrestled against Russian team in repechage and lost 1:4.
Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) and Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) brought points to the team. Davit Asumbani (66 kg), Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg) and Lasha Gujejiani (+90 kg) were beat. Zviad Khanjaliashvili who substituted Gujejiani brought point to his team in the match against Russia.
