Georgian National Team held six matches under a new head coach Temur Ketsbaia and did not lose any games. (2victories, 4draws, balls 4:2) Georgian team won last time on October 17 in 2007 (Switzerland 2:0). As for yesterday’s match against Malta, it was quite tense and no one expected that Georgian National Team which was considered as a favorite would have so much difficulties.

In the first half Georgian team avoided to be very active. Midline had the most difficulties in compare to other positions. By the way in the first half was happened such thing which will help Ketsbaia to change policy against Latvia in the next match. Referee showed yellow card to Zurab Khizanishvili, who had already shown yellow card before and in a result to it, he will miss the next match.

In the second half Siradze and Iashvili appeared on the pitch and the match became much more active. “Iashka” and Ananidze playing on the right wing were playing in combination and making problems to opponents’ goal. At the 49th minute, after fouling against Ananidze, Salukvadze performed a penalty and ball was near the entering into the goal after Gogua’s head kick.
Duet of Ananidze and Iashvili was very efficient and Georgian fans who gathered beside heavy rain were supporting much. At the 56th minute “Iashka” had chance of scoring. Ananidze assisted from the left wing, Kaladze assisted the ball in the penalty area, Iashvili kicked the ball perfect but Maltese defender saved the situation.
The captain of Maltese National Tea, Mafsud was the most active among Maltese players. At the 86th minute Malkaz Asatiani managed to pass through 4 players, goal assisted but in vein, Maltese defenders saved the situation. The last 10 minutes of the match was very active. In spite of heavy rain “Crusandars” had strong support from supporters and at the end of the match they were thanked by reps of “Georgian Sport Fans”.  Georgian players also were doing their best to score a goal.
Referee added 4 extra minutes to the match and the first minute was decisive for Georgian National Team, Kakha Kaladze a captain of the team assisted from the left wing and Siradze managed to kick with head and scored -1:0.

Georgian National Team won two matches under new head coach Temur Kestbaia and both of the matches were won by Siradze’s scoring. Georgians scored in the extra time of the both matches. Now a few words about distinguished players in this match, Kakha kaladze played the best match in his team career, he was playing in the left wing in yesterday’s match. Malkhaz Asatiani was playing quite well in defender’s position. Aleksander Iashvili and Levan Kobiashvili were playing well traditionally. So, it is too late not to use those players’ possibilities.
