Georgian National Basketball Team won the second time in the third selective round of qualifying stage European Championship and returned leadership. Igor Kokoshov’s team beat Portugal 73:57 in Tbilisi Sports Palace. For Georgian fans was difficult to see guests’ advantage at the beginning of match. First period Georgians lost 12:16 and then after strong fight changed score. Finally they beat competitor in the last ten minutes.
Zaza Pachulia had the best results among Georgians. He brought team 17 points and rebounded 6 times. Viktor Sanikidze and Torin Green collected 12-12 points. Sanikidze rebounded 10 times. Today will be held the second match of group C. Belgium will host Bulgaria and the winner in this couple will be the leader of this group and Georgia will replace on the 2 nd place.
