Elene Gedevanishvili won the license to participate in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. She has managed to achieve this at the current tournament in Oberstdorf (Germany), where mostly were those athletes who could not get a license in the last license competition.
In the short program of figure skating, Elene Gedevanishvili took the 6th place with 51.59 points and in free program she took the 7th place with 93.21 points. In total, Gedevanishvili earned 144.80 points and took the 6th place, which was enough for the license.
Otar Japaridze and Angelina Telegina also will participate in this tournament. Five best participants of 22 will get the chance of going to Olympic Games.
After the short program, the duet of Japaridze – Telegina are in the 13th place with 45.47 points in overalls, and in qualifying – in the 9th place. They are only 3 points behind the license zone. Free skating will begin today at 17:15 Tbilisi time.
