Before the second round of Europa League group stage, Vladimer Dvalishvili, forward of “Legia” Warsaw, told Polish Sport.pl that he has recovered and is ready to play.
“I am in shape and I can play but it is up to coach if I get in lineup” – stated Dvalishvili who scored 7 goals in 12 matches in the current season.
On 14 September Dvalishvili made a hat trick in the match against “Korona” (5:3) in Kielce. However, he has not played since then due to injury.
The 27-year-old Georgian forward highlighted the Warsaw team will defeat “Apollon” of Cyprus:
“We want to make through to the next round. We will win. We play home and we have an advantage. The only problem is that we play in front of empty tribunes but on the other hand we have a motivation to win for our fans”.
Jan Urban, head coach of “Legia”, has problems in offence because Marek Saganowski is injured.
To the question if Dvalishvili feels pressure as the only experienced forward, he answered:
“No, I am not the only one. Michal Efir and Patryk Mikita can also play successfully”.
The Georgian defender mentioned the fact that defenders scored both two goals against “Slask” (2:1) in the 10th round of Polish Ekstraklasa:
“Sometimes we need their help. That was the moment”.
