On December 17 Georgian sumo wrestler Gagamaru Masaru (Teimuraz Jugeli) visited Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. After half-hour meeting, official statements were made.
“I had very busy schedule in Japan. I arrived in homeland for New Year and I am happy minister met me. I am ready to collaborate with the ministry in the future”, - stated Gagamaru.
Levan Kipiani mentioned the ministry is ready to collaborate with the sportsman and many interesting events are planned for the future.
Gagamaru Masaru is the third Georgian professional sumo wrestler. His debut in professional league was in 2005. In March 2012 he reached his highest ranking – he became the first Komusubi of east.

November, Kyushu Basho – 8:7, the seventh Maegashira of east
