Four Georgians at World Chess Universiada

 

World Chess Unoversiada started in capital of Switzerland, Zurich. Four Georgians- Davit Benidze (2504), Malkhaz Sulashvili (2500), Sofiko Guramishvili (2343) and Tamar Tsereteli(2384) participate in this tournament.
In the first round three Georgian chess players won and one drew. Benidze playing with black pieces beat Varela(2303) of Brazil, in the second round played against Panjvan (2429) of Canada. Sulashvili drew with Soozankar (2299) or Iran and faces to Poobalasingam (2332) of England.
Guramishvilma playing with black pieces beat Lindiavat  (2133) of Indonesia and now faces to Yanjindulam (2212) of Mongolia. Tsereteli beat Lestar (2177) of Indonesia faces to Fukh (2237) of Germany. World Chess Universiada contains 9 rounds and finishes on September 11.
