At the international tournament in Quebec, in the 1/8 final Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili finished participation in singles wrap. Though, she managed to go through the semifinal in doubles wrap.
In the first round of the tournnament (prize money is 220 000) which is held in Canada, Tatishvili and Lilia Osterloh beat Hlavackova of Czech Republic and Krajicek of Holland 6:3, 6:1. In the 1/4 final, fortune helped Georgian and American players.
Jill Craybas, representative of the USA, and Julia Goerges of Germany were beating Georgian-American duet 4:1. But Craybas got injury and she could not manage to continue playing.
In the semifinal Tatishvili and Osterloh will play against Swedish players Sofia Arvidsson and Johanna Larsson. They beat two American duets - Lee-Waters/Moulton-Levy and Gullickson/Spears (No.2 seed).
Tatishvili and Osterloh gained 130 rating points for this success. Now, Georgian tennis player had 590 points and she is in the 119th place in doubles classification. Canadian semifinal will advance her with 10 positions.
Finalists of Quebec doubles tournament will gain 200 points and winners will gain 280 rating points.
