From 2 to 10 December Tbilisi Chess Palace hosts the first league of Georgian the 68th Women Championship, after it will be found out top 5 players who will go though the Supreme League.
Georgian National Championship will be held as circle system and 12 players will participate in it. The prize winners of the 67th championship will participate without competition. Those players are the following: Salome Melia (champion), Nino Khurtsdze (vice-champion), Maia Lomineishvili (bronze medal winner), Lela Javakhishvili, Sofiko Khikhashvili, Bela Khotenashvili (the members of Georgian Olympic Team) and Nazi Paikidze, who lives in Russia and has special invitation from Georgian Chess Federation. If any of these 12 players refuses to participate in tournament, the 6th place winner from the first league will take part in this championship.
Georgian women have to confirm their wish of participation in this championship by special form till 25 December, 2010. Those players will participate in the first league: Sofo Gvenetadze, Nino Batsiashvili, Miranada Mikadze, Keti Tsitsilashvili, Mariam Danelia and so on. The final staff of participants will be found out today. In case of equal points, sportsman who will have better additional index will be advantaged.
The tournaments take place according to FIDE rules and Switzerland system – in 9 rounds, will be counted FIDE rating also.
Georgian women from all region of Georgia are welcome in this tournament. Regional organizations will pay their expenses.
In case of telephoning, the participant automatically loses the part.
