Otar Martsvaladze Georgian forward of “Volga” Nizhny Novgorod won all the individual prizes in Russian first division in 2010. The best forward, according to popular Russian publication “Sport-Express” the best football player of the year, even his colleagues recognized him as the best player of season.  Most from 209 players of division supported him in poll, which was made by this Russian publication. Martsvaladze gained 202 points. There is interview of “Sport Express” with Otar Martsvaladze.

- Is football job or hobby for you?
- I became orphan at an early age. My life was not easy, so football is not only kind of sport for me, it helps me to live.
- Why did not you succeed in “Dinamo” Kiev?
- Due to injuries. Thanks god it stayed in past.
-  How did you appear in Russia?
- “Anzhy” expiated my agreement from “Dinamo” Kiev.
- With scoring 13 goals in the first circle, you were very profitable in Makhachkala…

- First of all it is my partners’ merit. Everyone did its best for success. Thanks god we achieved our goal and went through Premier League.
- In spite of success you left “Anzhy”…
- There were many Georgians in club then and people started talk about “Tetradze’s protection”. I decided to leave club myself and I am not sorry for that.
- Why did you choose “Volga”?
- This club was observing me and I felt that I was necessary for “Volga”. At the beginning I had lease agreement and then finally made agreement of full of value. I think that I made correct choice and it is turning point in my career.
-  Do you watch how “Anzhy” competes at Premier League?
-  Sure, I do. I am glad that they kept place in Premier League.
-  Who you were greeted in “Volga”?
-  Perfect. As the leadership as football players greeted me well. There is such atmosphere that I feel myself at home here.
-  How do you work with Omar Tetradze?
- Comfortably.  He knows how he has to work each of players. Of course experienced which I got in “Anzhy” and went through Premier League with Tetradze helped me here.
- Did Georgians help to adapt faster?
- How do you think? Of course they did. When you left for strange city and there are familiar people for you and especially former partners from “Anzhy’ it helps to adapt faster and being concentrated on football more.
- Do you have any kind of relations with Georgian competing in Russia?
- I contact most of them. But most of all I call very often to Malkhaz Asatiani, Dato Kvirkvelia and Lasha Salukvadze.
- How would you estimate you playing in last season?
- No doubt that it was the best period in my career.
- You became the best forward of 2010, what is your aim for the future?
- My aim is not to score any quantity of goals. Most of all I wanted team to go through Premier League. Now we have to play in higher level. We want to compete in Premier League worthily.

- More pleasant is in pouring weather.
