After six rounds Georgian chess players Merab Gagunashvili (2547) and Levan Pantsulaia (2614) have 4.5-4.5 points at the international tournament which is under way in the capital of India, Delhi. The Georgians are in the 6th-7th places.
In the previous round, Pantsulaia played draw with Chakkravarthy Deepan (2475) and Gagunashvili – with Bobir Satarov (2194).
The Georgians are one point behind leader Abhijeet Gupta (2606). Another Georgian Tornike Sanikidze (2541) defeated Karthik (India, 2179) and is in the 39th place with 3.5 points.
In the 7th round Gagunashvili and Pantsulaia will play with black pieces. Merab will face Babu Lalith (2579) and Pantsulaia – Rajpara Ankit (2443). Sanikidze will play Rahul Sangma (2336) with white pieces.
