These are the words of Fernando Santos. Greek edition goalday asked Portuguese head coach of Greek national team about popular Georgian players. He answered: "They have good players but especially, I want to name Gogua. He is fast, technical, strong and dangerous player. Gogua plays on the left wing and can start a good attack".
The coach got angry when he was asked about the match against Croatia which will be held on September 7. The question was:
"If you beat Georgia, are you going to take 3 points from Croatia?"
Santos replied: "Such attitude is disastrous. Georgia did not win even a match in last qualifying match but do not forget that they have not lost last 3 matches. We are favorites but it does not mean that Georgia has a weak team. I watched their friendly matches against Cameroon and Moldova".
Portuguese specialist praised Georgian colleague. According to him, Georgian team plays well under coaching of Ketsbaia and they should try to stop Georgian unlosable series in Athens.
"Ketsbaia is a good coach and he knows a lot about Greek football. He, as well as I, will hold a first match as a head coach. But we should get 3 points. I do not think about anything else".
How is Greece going to defeat Georgia? Santos did not refrain from talking about it and mentioned that he, unlike his predecessor Otto Rehhagel, was frank with journalists.
"We should try not to let Georgians play their game. They are technical players and we must try to limit spaces. In short, we must attack them".
Portuguese specialist also relies on "the 12th player". He hopes that the stadium will be crowded.
"Greek people love football. That's why I think we will not have lack of fans support".
The whole Europe knows that Greek fans are effusive but Santos doubts that tribunes of "Georgios Karaiskakis" stadium (33 500) will be completely crowded. 12 000 tickets were sold yesterday.
