Georgian cadet and young sambo wrestlers are successfully competing at European Sambo Championship which is under way in the city of Spain, Caseres. 16 Georgians wrestled on the first two days of the tournament and 14 of them won medals.
Two young girls Salome Abesadze (56 kg) and Elene Kebadze (80 kg) became champions of Europe.
Young boys won 3-3 gold and silver and 1 bronze medal. Lasha Paraskebashvili (62 kg), Mikheil Mezurnishvili (82 kg) and Zaur Mamardashvili (90 kg) won gold medals. Giorgi Melkuashvili (48 kg), Leri Bedinadze (52 kg) and Tornike Chovelidze (68 kg) took the second place. Heavyweight Giorgi Lazuashvili won bronze medal.
:Leri Chelidze (57 kg), Omar Niazashvili (74 kg) and Rezo Tsulukidze (100 kg), the last three members of the team of Avtandil Tsintsadze, will wrestle today.
Champions and prize winners were found out in 7 weight classes at the cadets tournament. Only Akaki Gigatadze (48 kg) and Giorgi Kurdiani (81 kg) did not get in Top 3.
Irakli Kupatadze (52 kg) and Giorgi Metreveli (65 kg) won gold medals. Koba Mchedlishvili (75 kg) and Jaba Mumladze (+87 kg) lost finals. Davit Tsurtsumia (60 kg) won bronze medal.
Davit Gejadze (56 kg), Tornike Makhatadze (70 kg) and Irakli Gogia (87 kg) will wrestle today.
