One of the Israel basketball national team’s leaders Lior Eliyahu will continue has carrier in Israeli club “Maccabi”.

According to the club’s official website the contract with Eliyahu is signed for 5 years. 24 year old forwards played for Spanish “Caja Labolar” last season, where he averaged 5.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

Eliyahu played for Maccabi during the 2005-2009 years also. Therefore, there will not be any problem for him to get along with the “Maccabi” players.

Note that Israel national team will take part in the European championship finals after finishing in the second place of the qualifying Group A. Lior’s average during the qualifying campaign was 13.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
