Georgian Judo Team Members will Get Bonus Premiums at the End of the Season

Georgian judo team members traditionally will get their own premium amount from the government at the end of the season. Davit Kevkhishvili, president of Georgian Judo Federation, and Tamaz Tevzadze, deputy of Sports and Youth Affairs, confirmed this information to “World Sport”.

After the European Championship in Budapest held at the end of April, Irakli Uznadze, head coach of the team, commented that the premium amounts are still unpaid and this caused irritation in one part of the fans.

“There is nothing alarming and never was. Bonuses are usually given at the end of the year and the same will be this year” – said Davit Kevkhishvili.

Recall that Georgian team gained 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals at the European Championship. Amiran Papinashvili (60kg), Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66kg) and Avtandil Chrikashvili (81kg) became European Champions.
