Shulaia Replaced Dzalamidze

Aleksandre Chivadze, head coach of the Georgian U-21 team, called up Akaki Shulaia, forward of “Merani” Martvili, instead of Nika Dzalamidze for matches against Scotland and Holland. The matches will be held on 10 and 14 October. Official website of Georgian Football Federation reports it.

On Tuesday evening an official letter came to GFF from “Jagiellonia” Bialystok:

“First of all, we are thankful that you called up Nika Dzalamidze for U-21 team. However, Nika has just finished treatment of his injury. The football player is under the supervision of doctors and therapist. He is practicing with the team and started playing too. But he needs time to restore his form. We ask you to cancel his call up for the next two matches. We are sure he will be ready for the next call up”.

So, the head coach of the youth team decided to call up 17-year-old Akaki Shulaia and the official call up was sent to “Merani”.

Aleksandre Chivadze saw Akaki Shulaia in U-17 team of Giorgi Devdariani in spring. Now Chivadze called up Shulaia for his team.
