Jobava Won the Minsk Tournament

The David Bronstein Memorial (2706) in Minsk finished with the victory of Baadur Jobava. The Georgian grandmaster was No.1 seed in Belarus and justified the status of the favorite.

In the last 9th round Jobava played draw with Aleksandr Shimanov of Russia (2658) and earned 7.0 points.

Ukrainians Sergey Fedorchuk (2641) and Mikhailo Oleksienko (2630) have the same points like Baadur. However, the Georgian had better additional data.

It is worth mentioning that Jobava earned 10 000 USD and will advance in the ranking. Baadur has 2715.8 and will be in the 33rd place.
