At dawn, Georgian national judo team will leave for Germany, for participation at “Grand Prix” of Dusseldorf. Georgia will represent two teams at this prestigious tournament. The tournament is held at this weekend. Other two members of Georgian national team- Beka Ghviniashvili (81 kg) and Lasha Taveluri (90 kg) will join those 14 sportsmen who will wrestle at Dusseldorf “Grand Prix”.
Lasha Shavdatuashvili Olympic Champion (66 kg) returns to tatami after a long pause. He had to wrestle at Paris Grand Prix, but due to knee trauma he could not. Now Lasha is in a good physical condition.
In a week time after Dusseldorf Grand Prix, is held European Open Tournament in Warsaw. Some of the sportsmen who will wrestle in Germany also will compete at Romanian competition. Candidates of Georgian national team will join them too. Levan Zhorzholiani is among them. As far as you know ex-leader if this weight category decided to resign and goes on his career in Judo Federation as a Vice-President. According to preliminary information he has desire of competition at this tournament, so he will wrestle in Warsaw.
