The Georgian judo team finished the third day of Ulanbaatar Grand Prix with better result. Three Georgians wrestled on the Mongolian tatami and all of them successfully finished morning program. Beka Gviniashvili (90 kg) and Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) reached final block without a failure. Levan Matiashvili (+100 kg) lost semifinal to Okruashvili.
Finally, the team of Irakli Uznadze finished the prestigious international tournament with 3 medals. Today Beka Gviniashvili won gold medal, Adam Okruashvili – silver and Levan Matiashvili – bronze.
Gviniashvili defeated Altanbagana Gantulga of Mongolia, Davronbek Sattorov of Uzbekistan and Marc Odenthal of Germany.
In final the 18-year-old Georgian judoka beat Krisztian Toth of Hungary.
In +100 kg the Georgian judokas were on one side of the draw and wrestled each other in semifinal. Okruashvili won over Matiashvili. Before that, he defeated Yong Chang of China and Maciej Sarnacki of Poland. In final the Georgian beat Ryu Shichinohe of Japan.
Matiashvili opened Grand Prix with Jafar Pahlevani of Iran and beat him by waza-ari. In ¼ final he won over Andre Breitbarth of Germany. In repechage final the Georgian defeated Temuulen Battulga of Mongolia by yuko.
Gviniashvili earned 30 ranking points, Okruashvili - ??? and Matiashvili – 120.
