Davit Asumbani mebre of Georgian Judo National Team will fight in repechage in current World Championhip which is being held in Tokyo. He continues fighting for bronze medal. He beat 3 opponents in 60 weight category. After beating Bakhytzhan Turebekov of Kazakhstan, Heroyn Mourenx of Netherland and Frazer Vill of Canada he went through quarter final. In quarter final he wrestled against Beslan Mudranov of Russia, managed to fight only 3 minutes and went through repechage, where he meets Elio Verde of Italy. In case of win, he will fight for bromze medal against Georgian World Champion Giorgi Zantaraia (presents Ukraine) or Arsen Galstyan of Russia.

In the same weight category, Amiran Papinashvili beat two opponents Hsuan-Hao Chang of Taivan and Sergio Pesoa of Canada. In the 1/8 final could not manage to beat Giorgi Zantaraia.
Georgian judokas could not go through the first stage in 66 weight category. Mindia Khomizuri started competing from the second circle and soon was defeated by Rock Draksich of Sloveia. Shalva Kardava beat Milos Mialkovic of Serbia and was defeated by Tsagaanbaatar Xashbaatar of Mongolia.
 Other judokas will fight for medals at 12:30 Tbilisi time.
