Only Zurab Datunashvili (75 kg) goes on wrestling in the main draw of World Championship which is under way in Tashkent. In ¼ final he defeated Gurpreet Singh of India 7:5. Vladimer Gegeshidze (85 kg) lost to Saman Tahmasebi of Azerbaijan 0:4.

Before ¼ final Datunashvili beat Arkadiusz Kulynycz of Poland (8:0), Valery Palenski of Belarus (4:2) and Yavor Yanakiev of Bulgaria (2:2).

In semifinal the Georgian wrestler will face Arsen Julfalakyan of Armenia.

Vladimer Gegeshidze won over two opponents: Hristo Marinov of Bulgaria (4:3) and Isfandiyor Latipov of Tajikistan (10:1). If the Azerbaijani makes through to final, Gegeshidze will have a chance to wrestle for bronze medal.
