Dato Solomonia Honorably Represents Georgia

During a business trip to Belgium on Elite round matches U-19 years, I noticed that among the Georgian fans of our team was one handsome boy. He was all covered with flags of Georgia and was chanting loudly enough "Sakartvelo". Devastated, with him and his father, I learned that this kid David Solomonia is a successful tennis player and winner of several children's tournament in Belgium. But Dato, his father David had shown a maximum of modesty and does not really like to talk about the successes in tennis, saying "Dato has not done anything special in tennis is to write about it." While in Belgium, I enquired among colleagues and the local sports media and by finding a mention about the success of Dato, decided to revisit the topic. With the fifth times I managed to convince the boy to tell parents about the way tennis and Dato ' about how he got into the field of view of the Belgian experts.

Dato Solomonia was born on September 30, 2005in  Tbilisi. In 2007, together with his parents moved to Belgium. In May 2013, David the first time got a chance to visit Paris at the opening of the Rolland Garros Grand Slam tournament. This dream, he lived for a year. David's Club gave him that opportunity. During his stay at Roland Garros with an opportunity to meet with Dato ' Anna Tatishvili. It was so nice that we were among the first Georgian her saying "gamarjoba Anna," and then she talked warmly of Dato '. It was nice to chat with a young Georgian tennis player. Anna is a very affable, attentive girl, she asked Dato, where and how he deals with. Anna on a memory exhibition match with Dato ' David's mother told us and referred to this and a few other interesting pictures. In particular, this photo with a rising star of Belgian Dato tennis David Goffin. At Roland Garros Bojana Jovanovski met with Dato ' (Serbia) and known in the past, the French tennis player Henri Leconte and Spanish tennis player Daniel Gimeno-Traverfa.

Dato boasts that "Georgia has always been on the lips of his Belgian friends." "Each time when David fought for every set, for every ball during competition, he remembers that he's from Georgia," said mom. She said she was "very grateful to the Belgian coaches without whom David would not have been able to achieve confidence and love for tennis." "Our coaches in Belgium with respect to us and wanted to help, to David in the future can properly use its experience in Georgia. Without friends, which he developed during training and participation in competitions, David of course would not have been able to buy the tenacity" - mentioned his mother.

Dato and his parents will come back to Tbilisi where Dato will go on playing tennis. His parents take care of his first prizes gained in Belgium and photos taken with famous tennis players. Friends are waiting for Davit in Tbilisi. He played tennis and spent free time with them in Georgia. Dato is going to continue practicing in Georgia. Of course, he will keep in touch with Belgian coaches. He will also participate in those tournaments which will take place in Belgium. Time will show how good sportsman Dato Solomonia will become. I was astonished with his energy, obstinacy and comprehensiveness. Hopefully, he will not lose passion of tennis.
