As it was expected, Chinese chess players are leading current Women's World Chess Championship which is underway in the city of Turkey, Antakya.
Four Chinese chess players went through the 1/4 final of the tournament. They will play against representatives of other countries. If they play well, there is a chance that only Chinese women will play in the semifinal.
Four Georgian chess players Nana Dzagnidze, Maia Chiburdanidze, Sopiko Khukhashvili and Maia Lomineishvili are competing in World Championship. But none of them managed to go through the second round.
