Chikhladze Returned to Court

 

After a long pause, Lado Chikhladze returned to court. 26-year-old Georgian tennis player was world No.350 in October 2007. Though, he had injury and could not play for a long time. As a result of it, he is not in ATP ranking anymore.

Chikhladze played at Italian Futures last March and overcame two rounds though in ¼ final he was beating Dusan Lajovic of Serbia 6:4, 4:4 when he retired…

Now, Chikhladze was given “Wild Card” at BMW Open (450 000 EUR) which is underway in the city of Germany, Munich. Lado was not a favorite and lost to No.5 seed Peter Gojowczyk of Germany 4:6, 1:6.

Giorgi Tsivadze who is in the 1257th place in ATP ranking managed to go through the main draw of Grasse tournament (France, 15 000 USD) where he defeated Mathis Di Maio of France  6:1, 4:6, 6:1. In 1/8 final, Tsivadze lost to No. 4 seed Benjamin Balleret of Monaco 6:7 (4:7), 0:6.
