A 15-year-old Georgian tennis player Lado Chikhladze returned to court in the city of Italy, Cividino. He had a chance to go through the semifinal of the tournament (10 000 USD) but he got injury again.
Chikhladze started participation from the main draw and beat Italian Lorenzo Frigerio 7:6 (7:3), 7:6 (7:3). Then, he won over No.7 seed Romanian Petru-Alexandru Luncanu 7:6 (7:3), 6:7 (9:11), 6:3.
In ¼ final, Lado was beating No.2 seed Serbian Dusan Lajovic 6:4, 4:4 when he got injury and could not continue playing.
It is a pity that talented Georgian tennis player who was in the 350th place in ranking 2007 and now is in the 861st place, cannot gain form because of unluckiness.
Only Sopo Kvatsabaia from Georgian tennis players managed to go through ¼ final at Amiens tournament (France, 10 000 USD). No.6 seed Georgian beat Czech Lucie Kriegsmannova 6:1, 6:4 and now she will play against Croatian Maria Abramovic.
Lately, Kvatsabaia and Abramovic have participated in doubles tournaments together and they achieved success. Now, No.2 seed Georgian-Croatian duet is in the semifinal where they will play against Polish tennis players (Kania-Sobaszkiewicz, No.4).
If Sopo and Maria win, they will play against Gerlova and Kriegsmannova in the final. Gerlova and Kriegsmannova beat No.3 seed duet of Tatia Mikadze and Sopo Shapatava 6:2, 6:3.
In 1/8 final of singles tournament, No.2 seed Shapatava lost against Italian Nastassja Burnett 2:6, 7:5, 4:6.
