2 Georgians Became Champions at "Champions"

 

Ankara hosts Youth Wrestling International tournament- "Champions". Georgian Free-style and Greco-Roman style teams competed at Turkish tournament and a day before ending the tournament they have the following result: 2 gold medals and 1 bronze.

Heavy-weight wrestlers from both of the styles became champions. Iakob Kajaia a wrestler of Greco-Roman style team beat Turkish Kirchan Mumin in the final 6:0, 6:0. Geno Petriashvili a member of Free-style wrestling team beat Eduard Kadalaev of Russia in the last fourth match 5:0, 4:0.

Piruz Tsulukidze (66kg) a Greco-Roman style wrestler gained a bronze medal. "Champions" is the last tournament of Georgian youth teams in preparation plan for European championship. So, the coaches let the main candidates of the team rest a little and did not take them to Turkey.

Macedonia hosts European championship on July 2-7.
