Chanturia Signed 3-Year Contract with "Vitesse"

Giorgi Chanturia who has turned 18 years old today, signed 3-year contract with “Vitesse” Arnhem at 13:00 Tbilisi time.

“Vitesse” has been training in “Vitesse” since last September but he did not have right to sign contract until becoming 18 years old. The contract will come into force since July 2011. Georgian football player will play in Dutch club with jersey number 1.

Members of Chanturia’s family, club owner Merab Jordania and chief scout of “Vitesse” Ted van Leeuwen attended the ceremony of singing the contract. After signing the contract, Giorgi cut his birthday cake.

“I am ready to play for “Vitesse”. Before that, I was only training in Arnhem and I was not able to play. I feel myself well in Holland and “Vitesse”. Today is a great day and I am happy to play for this club” – stated Chanturia.

Merab Chanturia: “I am here to say that this is beginning of future success of “Vitesse”. I know possibilities of Giorgi. Many foreign clubs wanted to buy him but he signed contract with “Vitesse”.

Ted van Leeuwen: “Today is a special day for “Vitesse” and Giorgi. He has turned 18 years old and signed contract with the club. We have expected this moment for a long time. It is known that Giorgi is one of the most talented players of Europe. He is a great talent”.
