Coaches of Georgian cadet freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams wrote down the list for European. One of the most important tournaments of the season will take place in the city of Montenegro, Bar, on June 18-23. Girl champions and prize winners will also be found out at the tournament. Georgian girls will participate in the tournament for the first time in the history of independent Georgia. The upcoming tournament will be debut Euro tournament for freestyle coach Emzarios Bentinidis and Greco-Roman coach Davit Bedinadze.
The team of Bentinidis will depart for Montenegro on June 16. Girls will wrestle on June 20-21. The last two days of the tournament will be for Greco-Romans.
According to the decision of FILA, European Championship was to be held by old rules but now the federation informed the participants that the tournament will be held by new rules.
Georgian Wrestling Federation provided “World Sport” with that the list of reserve wrestlers who might replace members of the main list. These wrestlers are: Giorgi Khachidze (42kg), Vazha Omarashvili (85kg), Nugzar Tsurtsumia (42kg), Giorgi Gujabidze (58kg), Suliko Vakhtangadze (63kg) and Nukri Shavadze (76kg).
