Vladimer Adeishvili and Nugzar Skhiereli head coaches of Georgian Greco-Roman and Free Style Wrestling Cadet Teams have named sportsmen who will participate at international tournament which is held in Latvia. On March 19-20 Riga hosts international tournament named after Freidenfels and 22 Georgians participate in it.
Adeishvili prepared 12 sportsmen for Latvia, 7 of them are champions of Georgia – NikolozTsetskhladze (50 kg), Amiran Shavadze (55kg), Kemal Kharabadze (60 kg), Sachino Davitaia (66 kg), Zurab Datunashvili (74 kg), Robert Kobliashvili (84 kg) and Shota Gogisvanidze (120 kg). 3 winners of silver medals – Piruz Tsulukidze (60 kg), Giorgi Davitaia (66 kg) and Sergo Gogisvanidze (120 kg) and two winners of bronze medals – Ushangi Kitiashvili (74 kg) and Revaz Nadareishvili (84 kg). There is not any representative in 96 weight category, because Aleksandre Dikhaminjia leader of this category has just competed at international tournament.
Nugzar Skhireli has named 10 sportsmen. Levan Rochikashvili (50 kg), Lasha Lomtadze (55 kg), Tengiz Chochishvili (60 kg), Davit Tlashadze (66 kg), Beka Petriashvili (74 kg), Aleksandre Aminashvili (84 kg), Tedo Ebanoidze (96 kg) and Giorgi Aslanishvili (120 kg), sportsmen who succeeded at Georgian Championship three weeks ago in Batumi. Davit Galegashvili (66 kg) is finalist and Lasha Talakhadze (50 kg) won bronze medal, but Talakhadze competed in 55 weight category. Last year Talakhadze won silver and bronze medals at European and World championships.
This year two most important tournaments European and World championships are to hold in summer. On June 21-26 Serbia hosts European championship and on July 26-31 Romania hosts World Championship. At the end of Spring is be named Georgian sportsmen who will wrestle at these tournaments.
