Judo Academy named after Vano Chochishvili hosts Georgian Boxing Championship.  The tournament officially is opened today and lasts till Thursday. About 90 Georgian sportsmen will participate in this tournament and champions and prize winners will be found out in 10 weight categories (49, 52, 56, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91 and +91 kg).
According to the decision of Georgian Boxing Federation, on February 12-13 the 1/8 finals, 1/4final and semi-finals of the tournament are held, as for finals, they will be held on February 14.
National Team will be staffed according the results of championship, which will have preparation meetings in Borjomi and Baku at the end of February and also will compete at Azerbaijani international tournament. At the end of May the team leaves for Belarus and competes in European championship.
