Supposedly Betkil Shukvani comes back to tatami in December. Betkil Shukvani competing in 60 weight category wrestled n Georgian Championship second times, but due to injuries which he got in semifinal he stopped competing and was awarded with silver medal. Last year he won golden medal and this year in spite of winning was awarded with silver medal.  In two days after finishing Georgian Championship judoka was medically checked and was prescriptioned preliminary treatment. Supposedly the doctors will say final decision soon in the nearest future.
Betkil Shukvani talked to “Sport News” and stated the following:” Unfortunately, my hand is in such condition that there is not meaning to make X-ray. I was prescriptioned preliminary treatment course and I feel better now. I do not suffer such pains as before. As doctors I will miss one moth in tatami and then hope will be possible to come back to it. I had never been in such good condition as I was at Georgian Championship.  I wanted to win golden medal second times. Unfortunately, I have compulsory rest. It is too late to continue training, but I try to do such exercises where I do not use hand. I ran in the morning today. I will do my best to be ready in December and to participate in Tokyo tournament. If not, in January I have to take part in Big Slam which will be held in Tbilisi in any case. My aim is to have to be a member of National Team and for this I will do my best”.
Before finish season 2010 Georgian Judo National Team will participate only in one international tournament in Big Slam which is held in Tokyo on December 10-12 and according to preliminary information Georgian Team will compete with full staff. A head coach of National Team will name the sportsmen for this tournament today.
