The member of Georgian national team, international chess master Bela Khotenashvili won The first tournament serie of Women Grand Prix, which was underway in the city of Switzerland, Geneva. It was her first participation in this tournament and thats why she was No.8 rank, no one expected such success from her. Finally, Bela won 7 matches, played two draws and lost two ones. From 11 possible points, she gained 8 ones and overcame Anna Muzichuk (Slovenia) with half point and took the first place. Georgian woman gained 10 000 EUR and 160 points.
As you know, Grand Prix contains 6 rounds. 60 000 EUR is for each stage, this prize money is shared between all the participants according to their places.
Each participant of Grand Prix will participate in 4 tournaments from 6. 3 best results from 4 will be calculated and the first place winner, in 2015, the current champion of the world, will fight for the best player of the planet.

- According to your rank at Geneva tournament (No.8 rank), did you expect such success?
- I planned to take place among top five, I really did not expect that would take the first place.
-Which was you best match?
-The best I have played in have won Victoria Cmilyte (Lithuania) and Katerina Lahno (Ukraine).
I am not happy with my game against former world champion Hou Yifan (China). I have got a bad attitude in the beginning and then was unable to turn the tide of the game and lost. You could say that my loss was due to my bad play and not a good game of Yifan.
-When did you feel you could win the tournament?
-After winning the 9-round black pieces over Olga Girej (Russia) I felt that I could win the tournament.
-You told us about your personal trainer, international gross-master David Jojua?
-I have nothing to say but good things about Dato. I constantly felt his support and he made a huge contribution to my success.
-The second Grand Prix tournament will take place on June 15-29 in the city of Armenia, Dilijan which will make you do. Jojua and BS will help you?
-Dato should speak at the Championship of Georgia among men and, therefore, to prepare for the 2-nd International Grandmaster tournament, Zurab Sturua the coach of the women's national team of Georgia will help me.
-After winning the tournament in Geneva, you become one of the favorites of the Grand Prix. Who do you consider your major competitors in Dilijan?
-My direct competitors to the tournament I think in Armenia are Humpy Koneru (India), Anna Muzychuk (Slovenia) and Nana Dzagnidze.
-If you can, please tell us briefly about yourself ...
-I am the champion of Georgia, the champion of the world U-16, Chiburdanidze Cup winner, winner and World Team Championship.
I am married to a former chess player, international master Vakhtang Sulashvili, we have a daughter-Mariami. I am a student in the graduate program of the Tbilisi Technical University.
-Your spouse does not no longer play chess?
Vakho-cast to play chess and learns to master the Tbilisi Technical University.
