“Dinamo” Batumi is fighting to return to the Super League and the things are going good for the club yet – it is in the first place in the zone. However, the fact that there is not a stadium in Batumi is too bad. This case makes everyone worry.

Therefore, when we contacted the director of “Dinamo” Batumi Otar Fedichkin, first of all we asked him about stadium issue:

- We will have a wonderful stadium at the territory of Angisis. It will be covered with two artificial and one natural field, where we will hold home matches. Capacity will be 4000.

-       When construction begins and who finances it?

-       It starts in January and it should be ready in spring. Such is the plan. Two million GEL has been allocated from the City Council. Besides three fields, hotel also will be on this area. In nutshell, there are all conditions for the clubs in order to hold meetings here. Including the teams of Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

-       Very good. Will there be any further delay?

-       No, everything is spelled out.

-       How much will be the club’s budget this year?

-      1 360 000 GEL. If we move to the Super League, financing will be increased.

-       What else is being done for development of football in Batumi?

-       We pay a lot of attention to children’s football. We already have 9 age groups. If 80 child was training before, but now their number is 350. And besides, for free. Looking after the children’s teams is written in budget. Several days ago the tournament among the children born in 2000 was ended, in which two Azerbaijani teams were invited. We also wanted to invite “Galatasaray” Turkey but this case was not done. Two weeks ago, on December 20, was 90-year anniversary of “Dinamo” Batumi, it was pleasant evening and we also discussed the case. It should be also told that the club has technical sponsor: Construction Company “Anagi”. And “Mardi Holding” is sponsoring fan-club. the club found this sponsor.

-       So, the club is sponsored by the City Council?

-       Yes. City Council is doing everything in order to make progress possible. In fact, we had to start from zero, because football was dead and destroyed in Batumi. Today it does not, people saw hope. The biggest problem for us, of course is the stadium, which will be ready in spring.

-       Are you planning to strengthen the team’s composition this winter?

-       Definitely. After January 15 new player’s list will be known. There are still negotiations. We are already preparing for Super League.

-       Will the meeting be in Turkey?

-       We will go to Turkey on February 8. On February 9 we are playing against “Trabzonspor” Doubles, and from there we will leave for Antalya.
