Batumi Hosts World Beach Wrestling Championship

Next weekend Batumi hosts World Wrestling Beach Championship. There are about 200 participants from 11 countries in this tournament which is organized by International Wrestling Championship, National Wrestling Federation of Georgia and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. Besides host team there will be participant teams from these following countries: Azerbaijan, the U.S.A., Norway, Estonia, Hungary, Ukraine, Sweden, Turkey, Kazakhstan and India.
The tournament will be hold in two age groups: between senior and junior sportsmen. Champions and prize winners will be found out in 4-4 weight categories. Among senior sportsmen champions and prize winners will be found out in – 70, 80, 90 and +90 weight categories and among juniors in – 60, 70, 80 and +80. As for quota, each country gas right to represent three participants in seniors and 2 in juniors.  
According to Malkhaz Jorbenadze general secretary of National Wrestling Federation, preliminary matches will start at 17:00 o’clock and final matches at 19:00 ‘clock.
Raphael Martinet president of International Wrestling Federation, Stefan Kazaryan president of Beach Wrestling Federation and authority of Georgian Sport will attend World Championship in Batumi.
According to the preliminary information, championship had to start on July 15 and on the first day cadets will wrestle, but this age category will not compete at the tournament and it will last for two days.
Champions and prize-winners will be found out in two age categories among girls. Georgia also will represent female participants.
