Georgian top seed Nikoloz Basilashvili participated in “Kremlin Cup” (75 000 USD) but could not overcome the qualifying draw.

In the first qualifying round the No.4 seed Basilashvili lost to Denis Matsukevich of Russia 3:6, 4:6.

Three Georgians will play at the Aktobe tournament (Kazakhstan, 10 000 USD). Aleksandre Metreveli will face Alexandre David of France, Giorgi Tsivadze – Kaysar Bekimov of Kazakhstan and Giorgi Javakhishvili – Ilya Lebedev of Russia.

In doubles Javakhishvili and Tsivadze defeated the Kazakhs 6:2, 6:0 and made through to ¼ final.

Two Georgian women tennis players competed at the qualifying tournaments. At the Astana tournament (10 000 USD) Babilina Machaidze was losing to Kateryna Sliusar of Ukraine 0:6, 0:3 when she retired. Tamar Chalaganidze lost to Natalie Suk of America 2:6, 2:6 at the Orlando tournament (10 000 USD).
