Elkhan Mammadov, general secretary of Azerbaijani Football Association, stated they have not realized the offer of the Georgian side about holding a joint championship.

“The Georgians told us about their idea. We told them it is a future business. So, we have not discussed this issue. We will discuss it with our friends from the Georgian Football Federation at the upcoming meeting. However, we have not started working on this issue yet.

This idea seems very interesting. But organizational works, expenses, FIFA and UEFA positions stand behind it. Perhaps, this idea is interesting for fans. But we must consider a lot of important problems behind this issue”, - extratime.az cites the words of Mammadov.
