The International Judo Federation released a new ranking. The first ranking of 2014 is almost the same as the last ranking of 2013. There are only one-two changes.
Nugzar Tatalashvili and Zviad Gogochuri advanced with two-two positions. Tatalashvili is in the 20th place in 73 kg and Gogochuri – in the 18th place in 90 kg.
Avtandil Chrikishvili has the highest ranking from the Georgians. Current champion of Europe and world silver medal winner is leading 81 kg. Levan Tsiklauri is in the 8th place in this weight category.
Varlam Liparteliani is in the second place in 90 kg and is 68 points behind leader Asley Gonzalez of Cuba. Current champion of Europe Amiran Papinashvili is in the second place in 60 kg. He has 1896 points. Leader Naohisa Takato of Japan has 2978 points.
Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg. the third place) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66 kg. the sixth place) are in Top 10. Zebeda Rekhviashvili is in the 12th place. The worst situation is in 100 kg where Levan Zhorzholiani, vice-president of the Georgian Judo Federation, is in the 41st place.
