Pavel Smirnov of Russia (2627) won Baku Open 2013 which finished in Azerbaijan. He earned 7.0 points in 9 rounds. Sergei Zhigalko of Belarus (2664) took the second place with 6.5 points. Alexey Dreev of Russia (2668) took the third place with the same points.
Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2663) took the 17th place with 5.5 points. Konstantine Shanava (2567) had the best result from the Georgians. He earned 6.0 points and took the 7th place.

Nino Khurtsidze (2460) and Bachana Morchiashvili (2358) also sent applications to the tournament but they did not participate in it. Lela Javakhishvili finished participation in “Baku Cup” when she had 2.0 points.
