Discipline Committee of Russian Football Union disqualified Georgian defender Malkhaz Asatinai, who plays in “Lokomotiv” Moscow for 4 matches. In the last match of Russian Premier League between “Lokomotiv” and “CSKA” At the 70th minute of the match Mark Gonzalez played cruelly against Asatiani and Georgian player threw ball to the face. Both players started fighting and others also involved in fight and trying to calm situation down. Referee sent off Asatiani as well as Gonzalez from the pitch. Gonzalez also was disqualified for 4 matches.
Yuri Simyon (head coach of “Lokomotiv”): “It is strict but just decision. It was a good match, Asatiani also was playing quite well. It can be said that it was his best match in this season. I cannot understand what was wrong with him at this moment. Even Malkhaz cannot explain it. Maybe it caused unsuccessful playing of “Lokomotiv” latest times”.
So, thus Asatiani will not be able to play in Georgian National Team in two next matches (on October 8 against Malta and on October 12 against Latvia), it is quite disappointing fact.
