Begi Darchia, former head coach of Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, supposedly comes back to the team. Information that was spread on Tuesday in the wrestling backstage, is not officially confirmed, but according to rumors the issue has already been resolved and will be put a full stop on it in the near future.
In all likelihood, it was decided at the meeting of the Presidium of the Wrestling Federation on Monday, which was closed for the media.
“World Sport” applied to the federation president Luka Kurtanidze to clarify the situation, but he declined to comment.
“We will hold a briefing in the next few days and I will say everything there” – said Kurtanidze.
And finally, still officially unconfirmed information: former head coach of the team Otar Tatishvili, Zaza Jibladze and Badri Khasaia will help Begi Darchia to train the team. Revaz Mindorashvili will be the head coach of Freestyle wrestling team again and Davit Pogosyan and Aleksandre Kakhniashvili will be his assistants. Besides them Guram Mchedlidze, who returned from Ukraine, will join the coaching staff.
